I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty lazy. I don’t like doing home improvement type things. I’d rather sit around and watch TV. So when my wife started hounding me to get some air duct cleaning equipment, I knew that it was going to be a long weekend. I hadn’t cleaned my air ducts for years, and the last time I bought some air duct cleaning equipment, I didn’t remember where I put it, so I had to go out and buy a whole new set of air duct cleaning equipment.

Now, I already told you that I’m lazy. But I’m also a little bit thick. I don’t like to hire somebody to do something when I think I can do it myself. That’s why I tend to do things like buy my own air duct cleaning equipment instead of hiring some kind of air duct cleaning services.

You never know with those air duct cleaning services. Sometimes they have some kind of air duct cleaning scam, where they come over to your house with a bunch of impressive air duct cleaning equipment, but they never really clean your air ducts very well. Air duct cleaning is something that’s pretty important, so you need to make sure it’s done right.

So there I was at the home center, looking for some air duct cleaning equipment. I was a bit embarrassed, because my wife gave me a specific budget. I couldn’t buy anything extra in addition to my air duct cleaning equipment. I usually like to pick up a few things, small tools, that I can put in the garage and never use.

But not that day. All I was allowed to get was some air duct cleaning equipment. Of course, I was completely lost. When I asked the guy where the air duct cleaning equipment was, I kind of fumbled around as I followed him. I was hoping he wasn’t going to ask me any specific questions, because I really didn’t have a clue.

I figured I would see what I wanted when I got there, and just kind of pick out he air duct cleaning equipment that looked like it would do the job. I mean, I’ve got a pretty good idea of what kind of air ducts I’ve got, so I kind of hoped that I could eyeball the air duct cleaning equipment that I needed.

And of course, I would pull the old air duct cleaning scam on my wife. I would climb up there and do a so-so job, and hope that my wife was satisfied.

Imagine my surprise when my wife climbed up there after I was done, and asked me to explain myself. I’ve never been able to pull anything over on my wife, so I don’t know why I tried then. Eventually I finished, and everybody was happy. Except my weekend was over, and I had to go to bed.

Luckily I only need to use air duct cleaning equipment once a year or so.
